Curriculum
The Institute's highly qualified and diverse curriculum research and development team have devoted strenuous efforts in providing our students with the best curriculum and instructional staff; resulting in mastering the Arabic Language with excellence. Like every successful learning process, the institution, its teachers, and the student must work in conjunction for the
academic advancement of the student. IAI has established a curriculum research and development department specifically for pioneering work in the creation of our academic and instructional methodology. We consistently monitor student progress and instructor performance. We devote concentrated efforts in fulfilling our responsibilities to our students, and likewise we expect our students to be
diligent in fulfilling their academic responsibilities.
IAI Arabic Programs
Our curriculum research and development team created our pioneering academic programs. The Institute offers three programs: the Collective Learning Program (CLP), the Individual Learning Program (ILP), and the Accelerated Programs (SAP) or (WAP) .
These programs have been developed to provide our students with the necessary information and training needed to enhance rapid learning along with gradual skill building techniques in the areas of verbal articulation, phonetics, reading and comprehension, writing, morphology, rhetoric and critical thinking in the Arabic language, along with many other important skills. This program consists of fourteen (14) levels arranged in three phases; Phase One, Phase Two and Phase Three. The program begins with pre-Arabic or the introductory level through completion with the fourteenth level.
Phase One:
From pre-Arabic or the introductory level through the seventh level, each level consisting of 90 class hours, with each class session being three
and one half (3 1/2) hours per day, five days a week, and with each level consisting of five weeks of study.
Phase Two:
From the eighth through the eleventh level, each level consisting of 90 class hours, with each class being three
and one half (3 1/2) hours per day five days a week, with each level consisting of five weeks of study.
Phase Three:
From the twelfth level through fifteenth level students will be required to take various subjects, with each class session being three (3) hours, four days
per week and each level consisting of eight weeks of studies. Students will be required to take an entry exam and appear before the board of examinations in order to qualify for admission to the advance level.
Programs offered at IAI
• Collective Learning Program (CLP) Most of the classes offered at the Institute are group classes. Our Collective Learning Program classes are designed to provide a challenging and a very competitive classroom environment. A CLP class normally
consists of three to ten students. In keeping with the standard of excellence, our institute has established a policy which limits the number of students to
ten students per classroom, giving our teachers the opportunity to concentrate on every individual student in an intensive classroom environment
• Individual Learning Program (ILP)
Our ILP classes are offered to special students who meet the Institutes academic qualification criteria. The Institute offers two ILP slots during every five weeks, year round, except during the months of June through August. ILP classes are specially designed to accommodate students with little time and or prefer not to sit in a group class setting but yet want to receive quality Arabic education. With this program, students are required to study six (6) hours, six days
per week. The Institute offers two types of private classes: One-on-One
Individual class and Cooperative Private Class.
- With the One-on-One Individual Class (OIC) a student is assigned to a private teacher. This type of program offers students many opportunities which are not normally available in a collective class setting; opportunities, such as the ability of having personal instruction tailored to suit the student's individual pace and with the flexibility for acceleration depending on the teacher's recommendation. Also, with this program a teacher can concentrate on those areas in which the student requires special attention.
- The Cooperative Individual Class (CIC) consists of two level-comparable students studying with their own designated teacher. Like the
OIC, the student enjoys the opportunity of having his/her own teacher and at the same time having a competitive study partner, thereby creating a challenging class room environment, normally found in a Collective Learning Program class setting .

Accelerated Programs
The Accelerated Program is one of the most important programs offered in our institute. It is offered twice a year; once in the Winter and once in the Summer. This program was carefully designed for students who
have constrained and limited time availability and are unable to study at a regular pace during the normal school year. It was developed with the foundational
components that are necessary to equip students with the capability to read, speak, understand and write Arabic.
The Winter Accelerated Program consists
of one session and the Summer Accelerated Program consists of two sessions. The following course dates and program descriptions will assist the student in planning to study in this program. Please Note: These dates are subject to change. In the event of change in program dates, an update will be posted on our web page.
.
- Winter Accelerated Program (WAP)
The WAP is comprised of 100 hours, 20 days, 6 days a week, 5 hours a day class sessions and there are no classes on Friday. NOTE: IAI does not calculate break time and exam time as class time; therefore the student will receive the complete 5 hours of daily
instruction.
- Summer Accelerated Program (SAP)
The SAP is comprised of two one-month sessions with each session being 150 hours with a total of 300 hours of study. The student has a choice to study in both sessions or only one of the two sessions offered. Classes meet 5 hours a day, 6 days a week with no classes on Friday. NOTE: IAI does not calculate break time and exam time as class time; therefore the student will receive the complete 5 hours of daily
instruction.
