Admission Requirements for All Entering and Transfer Students

  1. All entering and transfer students must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Consideration may be given in special circumstances not meeting this requirement. All students must submit one photocopy of their high school diploma or educational equivalency certificate.

  2. All new and transfer students are required to take an entrance examination consisting of three sections: written, oral, and aptitude. Only those students who have completed the examination process will be considered for admissions.

  3. The application and testing fees must be paid with submission of application.

  4. The fee schedule is as follows:

Students must possess all required documents for residence in Egypt ; valid passport and visa
6.
All students must submit two letters of recommendation. (ex. Recommendation from religious leader or institution, academic institution, or previous teacher or professor, etc.)
7.
All new and transfer students are required to submit a copy of their latest academic transcripts; high school, university, or trade school.
8.
All new and transfer students must successfully complete an interview for academic suitability and counseling session, in order to be considered for admissions.

Special Students

  1. Students who do not possess a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered for admission only after submission of a letter of request for admission as a special student.

  2. Students given special student status are required to submit all requested forms and complete all of the other above requirements.

  3. After completion of three academic levels in our program, and having maintained at least a 2.5 GPA, or 75% grade average, the student will be reviewed for admittance as a regular student.

Returning Students

  1. Students who have been previously enrolled at the Institute, but have been absent for two sessions or more are required to complete the Re-Admission package.

  2. Returning students must submit an explanation for interruption of their studies.

  3. Returning students with outstanding financial obligations to the Institute will no be considered for re-admission until all outstanding balances are paid.

The applicant must complete the application and testing process accordingly. No applicant will be considered for admission until this process has been completed and the Office of Admission has received all required student documents.

 

Required Documents

  All students must submit the following documents:

  1. IAI application completed in entirety.
  2. Copy of high school transcript or equivalent.
  3. Copy of latest academic transcript.
  4. Letter of Intent
  5. Two Letters of recommendation
  6. Two copies of valid passport
  7. Two recent passport sized photos
  8. Transportation and Housing Application (if this service is requested by student)

The applicant must submit all required documents with the application package, and prior to entering into the examination phase of the admissions process. Any applicant found to have falsified any of the required documents or application information will absolutely not  be considered for admission.

 

Examination Requirements and Policies 

Each student must complete the following examination process in entirety:

  1. After completion of the application package, all students are required to undergo an extensive testing process, which determines the student's placement level in the Institute's Academic Program.

  2. The testing student must present photo identification before entrance into the examination room.

  3. The exam will be administered by the Institute's qualified examiner.

  4. The Institute administers three different levels of entrance examinations: Phase One, for those students who have limited exposure to the Arabic Language, Phase Two, for those students who have some basis in the Arabic Language, Phase Three, for those students have previously studied the Arabic Language in detail.

  5. The examination (Phase One, Two, or Three) is divided into three sections: Written, Oral, and Aptitude.

  6. The written section of the examination consists of a comprehensive evaluation of the student's level in understanding vocabulary, reading, writing, grammar, and morphology, etc. The written examination is a timed exam.

  7. The oral section of the exam consists of an evaluation of the student's ability to articulate vocabulary, formulate simple and/or complex oral expressions, and ability to listen and understand basic and/or complex speech and respond appropriately.

  8. The Aptitude section of the examination consists of an evaluation to determine the student's speed in grasping language material, evaluation of students' information retention, and an overall evaluation of the student's ability to meet study requirements of our Institute.

  9. After completion of the examination, the examiner will mark the exam and submit an evaluation report to the Admissions Office. The student will be notified of his/or her placement within one to three business days.

  10. Upon completion of the examination, the student will be scheduled for a personal interview and counseling session.

  11. Any student found cheating will automatically be expelled from the examination, and will not be considered for Admissions.

Application Process

Qualified applicants to the Institute can submit a completed Application to the Admissions office.

Each applicant receives an admission package consisting of the following forms and information:

Lodging and Transportation forms (upon request)
Program Outline
Institute's Rules and Policies
Yearly Academic Schedule

1. Every applicant is responsible for the payment of application and testing fees.
2. Each applicant must complete the application completely.
3. Each applicant must submit the following documents:

    a. Letter of Intent
    b. High School diploma or equivalent
    c. Latest academic transcript
    d. Two copies of passport
    e. Two passport pictures

4. Each applicant will take an entrance examination, which consists of a written section, oral section, and an aptitude test.
5. After successful completion of the entrance exam, each student must be interviewed for suitability for study. The interviewer will submit his evaluation report to the Admissions office.
6. Admissions panel makes final determination of acceptance of student.
